I had the opportunity to test out this powerful camera at The Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles over a 24-hour period filled with plenty of photo opportunities, and overall, I was extremely impressed with the results.
The auto-focus system of the Nikon D500 stood out, with its 153-points of focus quickly locking onto the subject I wanted to shoot. The image processor did a great job of quickly processing the photos, allowing me to review them instantly on the LCD screen. The camera also did well in low-light conditions with minimal noise in the final photos.
The only drawback was the battery life, which only lasted about three hours with heavy use. However, this shouldn’t be a dealbreaker for most photographers who are looking for a high-quality camera to capture their work.
