This article provides guidelines for switching from Windows 11 in S mode to Windows 11 Home or Pro. First, open Settings, go to Update & Security then select Activation. From here, select Go to the Store in the Switch to Windows 11 Home or Switch to Windows 11 Pro section (avoid clicking the “Go to the Store” link under the “Upgrade your edition of Windows” section). On the Switch out of S mode page in the Microsoft Store, click the Get button. Once you see a confirmation message, you can now download and install apps from sources outside the Microsoft Store.
